bogotá

That’s how it was in analogue times …

From his grandfather, the colombian photographer has inherited this camera and he still makes instant pictures with it. Many thanks to the two models paula henao and miguel caicedo.

  1. Equip the camera with a photo paper and focus.
  2. Lens cover off, expose, lens cover back on. (there is no need for a shutter)
  3. Develop and fix the paper image in the camera.
  4. Place the negative paper image in front of the camera.
  5. Focus, lens cap off, expose, lens cap on.
  6. Develop and fix the photopaper in the camera
  7. Water it in the bucket. Finished!!
  8. Share the photo with your friends wordwide.

catedral de sal / bogotá

This cathedral was blasted into a salzmine close to bogotá.

villa de leyva / colombia

Lured by the mention in our travel guide, there would be naked saints in a junk room in the “convent ecco homo”, we drove to the monastery located near villa de leyva. However, it was renovated to inconsequential boredom and we couldn´t find the junk room, even i had asked about the naked saints.

The nearby astronomical Observatory Zaquencipá was much more interesting. In the connected space museum was a display ot the “ratonautas”, a mouse that was shot in space by the colombians, models of stonehenge, tikal and all sorts of other astronomical observatories. The Roswell incident was also on display, as well as the digital message that was sent into space several years ago and the corresponding response that was trampled by aliens into a cornfield 26 years later. Corios also the self-made telescopes together with their mounts, a must see !!

vulcano “totumo” / colombia

Oh, it would have been a pleasure to directed some those photos, but my spanish skills are far from being understandable. But, if 10 girls are sitting and giggeling in a mud hole, it´s impossible to direct them. No matter in which language you are talking!
