It was not entirely by chance that we met the Dennigs in Boudnib. Michael, the owner of 4ward4x4 Experience, had fitted the larger tanks and suspension seats in our truck. In addition to building expedition vehicles, he and his wife Tine offer guided truck tours – not only through Morocco.
We had arranged to celebrate Christmas together on a dune. Tine and Michael were travelling with two other trucks, so the four vehicles set off across the piste towards Erg Chebbi.
Wind and cold forced us to postpone the Christmas fondue, so we ate spaghetti in their truck instead. On Boxing Day, however, we enjoyed a wonderful fondue in the picture-book oasis of Asarcam. Thank you, Tine and Michael, for the 1001-night experience!
