A few months ago I posted an article about wayne gilbert, at that time his exhibition got installed in the station museum. Now, some time ago it has opened and you can watch here a remarkable video and a statement about his art. © ng

here i have attached the two co_works with barbara fisher from asheville and here you can see our visit to her place.
Dallas – ultimate destination for our first stage. Stupid timing, I know: during the winter you shouldn´t have a return flight from the southern united states to germany. But there was no other chance. During the last 6 months we met so many interesting and nice people that it was not easy to say ‚farewell’ to the US.
On the 1st. of april (no joke) we will go on, heading towards alaska. stay excited because there are already some crazy topics! But: what can we improve in our blog? We are very curious about suggestions and improvements and we always look forward to getting your comments to the posts.
Are you interested in a mail list? Which artist, musician or odd guys do you recommend on the way to alaska and then south to mexico? By the way: there will be several posts during our travel break and we would be very happy if you recommend our blog to your friends. © n.g.
I have been following the work of the washington based artist Matt Sesow with enthusiasm for quite some time. We had visited him in his studio (see video) and we planned to start a collaboration. Well, here is the first co_work with him. magnificent!
Our friend marc from mannheim recommended us to visit his best friend mike with his charming wife simona in dallas. Great. We were welcomed with open arms. They invited us to a sailing trip (yes, in dallas!), took us to their friends, we cooked together, had interesting discussions and lots of fun together.
So, marc from mannheim, stupid running, now we will argue about marc and simona from dallas, when they will be here in germany for a visit. :-) © n.g.
Thank you barbara! Today im happy to announce a female co_worker: barbara fisher from ashville / north carolina / usa, whom I met in her studio on oct. 30th. 2014 and their work inspired me. Gus Kopriva was born in Baden Baden, but after his mother married an american soldier, the family with the then 8 years old Gus moved to the United States. He became an engineer and worked for Dow Chemical, he married sharon (watch her video here) and discovered his passion for art. He promotes artists and exhibits their work in his gallery „redbud“ in houston heights. He also collects -among others- prints from the german expressionists. He works as a curator of exhibitions worldwide and is an excelent networker – what we experienced during our visit. He introduced us to the art scene and to many artists in houston, he took time to show us museums and interesting sites. Currently he organizes a sculpture project on the heights boulevard. (i will report). The encounter with him was a highlight of our recent trip – thank you Gus. © n.g.
