a travel to visit the fzs (frankfurt zoological society) project in the serengeti.
The great idea came to germany: „Can robots trust humans“ is the idea behind the hitchhiking robot who had crossed canada by it´s own last summer.
Together with its “parents” hitchBOT had visited our place in frankfurt / germany. The reunion was great because together with hichBOT we had started our trips through america in halifax in july 2014. Here you can see the blog contribution about hitchBot in halifax
If you want to learn how difficult and dangerous conservation work can be, then you have to look at the „virunga movie“ (available on Netflix only). For the frankfurt zoological society (fzs.org) I had been in the virunga national park / democratic republic of congo in 2007 and 2009. Here you can watch my video “hell & paradise in the heart of africa” about my experiences.
We missed the opeing of the exhibition, but we took the chance to visit the finnisage. the alp gallery in frankfurt had presented paintings from daniel baer. Here you get some impressions of his work and for information about the gallery and my exhibition in 2013 please click here.
my avid blog readers already know the photo club “OneDayOnePhoto” (see this contribution). Here is the initiator of the group Frank Lothar Lange (3rd from left) together with his wife Sylvia (left) and the two of us in our livingroom. Thanks Frank for the nice encounters with those members which we met on our trip so far. © n.g.
