art car parade / houston

Awesome! Nice job! Love it! Great! so it echoed from everywhere, when the visitors of houstons art car parade celebrate their 28th. happing.

Gus Kopriva of the redbud gallery in houston had invited me in the vip lounge of the parade, thank you gus !!! It was a great happening, some cars were only painted, others converted artfully and with a huge effort. A typical american parade for the good mood. © n.g.

watch bmoodyart painting !

The beloved Deep South, teeming with mythologies and rife with contradictions: simultaneously amusing yet horrifying, both historic but still frighteningly current – welcome to the world of b. moody art!  Brad Moody’s work is narrative, frequently drawing upon a personal, as well as regional, consciousness where each work tells a separate story or struggle, often evoking emotion with the loaded imagery of Southern iconography and stereotypes.  The titles of many of his works, “Fields of Cotton and Chanel No. 5”, “Welcome to 1st Baptist Church”, “Junky Gay Boy”, “…they said it was In The Blood” – hint at the depths of the artist’s continuing exploration of the social issues of race, religion, gender, matriarchal power and redemption that he confronts and that fuel his passion.

Some of my pictures found a great new home in a nice doctor´s practice in the black forest. Thank you for allowing me to equip your new rooms and have fun with the photos. © n.g.

struggle for life

Not everyone appreciates the romantic sunsets and for some, there is no light anymore. Lions, hyenas and vultures are no vegetarians at all, much to the chagrin of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes. © n.g.
