topes

Topes, these are the méxican speedbumps. Not “tope” that is singular and this would be senseless. “Topes” they are called and that has its reason. They always come in pairs. Before and after each crossing, – even at traffic lights, – before and after any possibility, where pedestrians could cross, before and after each bus stop. Several times before each entry into the city and, of course, several times at the exit. They occur in the city every 300feet at the latest and certainly also in between. We speak here of méxican styled topes, with non-consideration it lifts off your car and / or the axes are missing.

Topes, the thrill for the acceleration between.

guanajuato

Traveler, if you come to guanajuato, stay here: 21.00’52 “N – 101.15’25.8W (near the” Monumento a El Pipila “And if you come with big rig (high), then please take care and don´t get stuck in one of the numerous tunnels.

The old silver town is wedged between mountains, has many splendid buildings and even more churches and no place for a large central park. But there are plenty of cozy and nice places with lage trees, countless pubs and even more souvenir shops. They love to party, rather often and very importand: it has to be loud.

calendar 1986

Yesterday we had a visit by enthusiastic sahara explorers and so my car calendar from 1986 came in my mind. And I got the idea to post these shots which were caputerd before the photoshop area. At that time we traveled with 3 vehicles into the algerian sahara to realize these photos over there.

A family with three small children said goodbye to their friends for a sailing trip around the world which may last 4-5 years. Fare well, – follow your dreams …
